Describe your film...

Sleep Tight...is about a bed gone bad and the woman who can't get out.  This is a femme horror short with a twisted approach to obsession and apathy.

Nan and Jodi are two friends who love to go garage and estate sale shopping. On one such excursion they find a fantastic bed with a sculpture of a woman carved in the canopy. There friendship ends over who gets to buy the bed and when Nan gets home she quickly falls under its spell. She goes to bed and doesn’t want to get out. Is this a dream, or are the faces in the bed starting to talk to her? This is what happens when your best fantasy turns into your worst nightmare.

Describe your film...

Laughing, crying, lusting, screaming, cheating, stealing. All of these are welcome at the Give the Gift you Hate Party.

The week after Christmas I throw a party where guests are invited to let off steam and have a good time being bad. The rules are simple; everyone brings a gift they hate, no name, wrapped pretty, and places it under the tree. You have two choices. Choose one from under the tree or steal some one else's.

I’ve always been curious about why people are so stressed out during the holidays. What is it that makes giving and receiving so hard? And why do people hold on to things they can't stand?

This year I interviewed my guests before the party to find out how they feel about this season of ritual gift exchange. Some loved, others loathed. Childhood desires co-mingled with adult expectations of what this holiday should be. For some the biggest gifts are unconditional, others had rules. It’s amazing to see what happens to people when desire and expectation meet.
